BB – Big Bag weighing-bagging machine
Easier use, more reliable results.
SUSPENDED BIG BAG WEIGHING AND FILLING
- This procedure guarantees fast, complete big bag filling.
- It eliminates the risks of on-the-ground weighing, ruling out collisions and possible damage to weighing components during big bag loading and unloading.
- It provides the operator with a more convenient, efficient working position.
- It speeds up and simplifies maintenance by giving easy access to all devices.
HYDRAULIC RAISING AND LOWERING
- This device enables automatic position adjustment the use of big bags of different heights.
To change size, the operator has only to set the final weight required. - It facilitates engagement of the empty bag, as the bag support device can be lowered to within reach of the operator.
- It allows the bag to be raised and lowered in the middle of the filling cycle to settle the product (‘bag shaking’ effect).
FREE-STANDING MONOLITHIC STRUCTURE
- Requiring no supports, it can be moved around easily (if necessary).
Technical data
Modular construction
MODULAR CONSTRUCTION
From the simplest system (which just performs weighing and filling) to the full package (with wooden pallet dispenser and device for accumulating full big bags leaving the line).
Completely modular construction facilitates add-ons to optimise efficiency and minimise investment costs.
Construction features
CONSTRUCTION FEATURES
HYDRAULIC WEIGHING UNIT RAISING AND LOWERING DEVICE
This keeps the big bag suspended by its straps during weighing and filling.
* Enclosures are not shown to provide a clearer view.
DUST EXTRACTION CONNECTION
For connection to dust extraction system.
PERIMETER ENCLOSURES
To ensure the operator’s safety and comply with international standards, perimeter enclosures with access door are provided.
BASIC MACHINE
The photo shows the basic machine in the simplest version (without roller ways).
Compact and complete with everything needed to do the job effectively and efficiently.
MONOLITHIC STRUCTURE
Rugged, free-standing on the floor, with dimensions to suit the largest big bags for filling.
3 LOAD CELL WEIGHING DEVICE
BAG HOLDER ASSEMBLY
Standard big bag hanging hooks with manual release.
Pneumatic hooks for automatic strap release: 2 or 4 may be used depending on the type of big bag processed.
The two rear hooks pivot to facilitate bag engagement by the operator.
CONNECTING BELLOWS
The fixed part (product feed system) and moving part (bag holder assembly) are connected by a telescopic bellows that ensures a hygienic airtight seal and prevents the dispersal of airborne particles in the workplace.
OPERATING MODES AVAILABLE
STANDARD MANUAL OPERATION
The big bag is raised and lowered using manual controls; filling (with fine jet only) stops if the bag filling button is released.
STANDARD AUTOMATIC OPERATION
Once engaged by the holder assembly, the big bag is raised automatically and then filled (with two weighing flow speeds, fast and slow).
When the final weight is reached, the bag is automatically lowered and placed on the ground.
AUTOMATIC OPERATION WITH BAG SHAKING (OPTIONAL)
The cycle already described is completed with the bag shaking phase.
The big bag is placed on the ground for filling to the maximum capacity.

OPTIONALS
AISI 304 STAINLESS STEEL
Construction of parts in contact with the product in AISI 304 stainless steel:
- to prevent contamination of the product;
- for aggressive environments.
AGGRESSIVE ENVIRONMENTS
A special painting cycle is available for machines exposed to the corrosive action of aggressive environments.
INFLATION
Inflation of polythene inner bag (if used):
- by electric blower - fan (see photo);
- by inflation with inert gases.
VIBRATING PLATFORM TO SHAKE THE BAG AND SETTLE THE PRODUCT INSIDE IT
VIBRATING PLATFORM WITH PNEUMATIC RAISING AND LOWERING SYSTEM
If the pallet conveyor roller way is installed, the vibrating platform is equipped with:
- “vibrating grid” mounted between the rollers;
- pneumatic vibrating grid raising and lowering system.
This application lifts the pallet off the roller surface and vibrates it (with no vibration of the rollers themselves).
At the end of the vibration cycle, the vibrating grid descends, returning the pallet to the roller way.
Vibration is by means of electromechanical vibrators using variable weights to allow adjustment of the vibration stroke and frequency; the vibration time can also be adjusted.
A vibration-damping base ensures that no vibration is transmitted to the ground.
STANDARD VIBRATING PLATFORM
If the application requires the big bag to be vibrated to settle the product inside it, a vibrating platform can be included in the system. The big bag is placed on the platform and vibrated for the time needed (the duration is easily adjusted from the control panel).
The system is equipped with two eccentric mass vibrators, easily adjusted to modify the vibration stroke and frequency.
The device’s vibration-damping base prevents all transmission of vibration to the surroundings.
EMPTY PALLET DISPENSER MAGAZINE COMPLETE WITH ROLLER WAY FOR TRANSFER TO FILLING ZONE
With this application the operator must be provided with a platform to bring them to the roller way level.
The empty pallet dispenser magazine may be of “loader” or “retracting fork” type.
The first option, simple and inexpensive, is ideal if just 1 pallet size is used and provides a storage capacity of 450 kg of empty pallets (i.e. a stack of pallets 1800 mm high).
The second option provides flexibility (no adjustments are required if the pallet size changes) and more storage capacity (up to 850 kg).
Both types are equipped with a motorised roller way which transfers the empty pallet from the magazine to the big bag filling zone.
An alarm alerts the operator when the pallet level runs low, so they can refill the magazine in good time.
If the magazine runs out completely the entire cycle is halted thanks to the sequential interlock with the downstream devices.
